Kamala Harris' stepdaughter Ella Emhoff quickly whisked away by Secret Service security detail in New York

Vice President Kamala Harris' stepdaughter was hustled away in New York City after her Secret Service detail had an altercation with a man outside a restaurant where she was dining that ended with the suspect being led away in handcuffs. 

25-year-old Emhoff, daughter of Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, lives in Brooklyn.

Video from TMZ shows one of Emhoff's agents in plain clothes confronting a man outside a restaurant in Tribeca where they were keeping guard as she dined inside. 

The person taking the video can be heard saying the man had ripped the license plate off the vehicle. More video shows the suspect later being led away by New York Police officers in handcuffs. 

Video also shows Emhoff being put in the back of the SUV before it drives off.
