Kevin De Bruyne was seen signalling for his team-mates to get off the pitch as quickly as possible after Belgium fans made their feelings clear following their team's 0-0 draw with Ukraine.
The point earned Belgium a place in the last-16, but meant they finished second in Group E after a campaign that has already seen them suffer a shock defeat at the hands of Slovakia.
It was another disappointing display from the Red Devils, and the final whistle was met with loud boos by their supporters.
The players still started to go over to applaud the travelling fans, but the deafening boos only ratcheted up, leading to captain De Bruyne turning away and motioning for the squad to make their way to the tunnel.
The Belgian players trudged off the pitch, knowing they now face a huge task to progress any further at the Euros after ending up on what looks to be the more difficult side of the draw.

They will play France in the last-16 on Monday, while Spain, Portugal and hosts Germany are also on their side of the draw.
Getting past Didier Deschamps's men already looks like a tall order, especially given how Belgium have performed so far at the tournament.
They huffed and puffed against a stubborn Ukraine side, but could not find a way through, with Romelu Lukaku squandering a big chance early on as his scoreless start to the tournament continued.
The most memorable incidents of the game involved De Bruyne, as he was repeatedly targeted by a laser pen in the first half.
After having the green light flashed in his eyes when he went to take an early corner, De Bruyne encountered the same issue as he stood over a free-kick just after the half-hour mark.
He pointed the problem out to English referee Anthony Taylor who briefly paused the game.
When play resumed, De Bruyne attempted to score directly from the free-kick with an audacious effort from the right flank.

His shot evaded goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin's despairing dive, but went into the side-netting.
That was about as good as it got for Belgium as they struggled to create many clear-cut chances for the rest of the game.
As the game entered the closing stages, they were just one Ukraine goal away from going out, but they managed to hold on for a point to stay in Germany.
That wasn't enough to please their supporters, though, who will be expecting a lot better from their side when they return to action against France in the knockout stages next week.
