Kieran Trippier has left the England squad for a 'personal matter', Newcastle United have reported.

The England star is not injured, however, and he is expected to be ready to play against Chelsea next week, according to the Athletic.

It comes as England prepare to face North Macedonia in their UEFA Euro Qualifier.
