A four-year-old boy has died in a drowning on a suburban street beside a chain of ponds.
Emergency services rushed to Lagoon Row in Officer, adjacent to Pakenham in Melbourne's south-east, at about 5pm on Sunday night.
The boy, from Swan Hill, was pulled from the water unresponsive.
He was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
