Bill Belichick has secured a new role in the NFL six months after bidding an emotional farewell to the New England Patriots.
Belichick, 72, called time on his iconic stint as Patriots head coach after 24 seasons back in January.
Yet following his New England exit, the eight-time Super Bowl winner failed to land another coaching job in the league for the 2024-25 season, with all seven vacancies being filled by other candidates.
He has therefore been forced to transition into TV while awaiting his next opportunity, with ESPN's the Pat McAfee Show and The Manningcast with Peyton Manning already agreeing deals to recruit him as an analyst.
And with just a few months to go until the new season begins, the legendary coach has secured a new position in the NFL.

Belichick will also be working as an analyst for Emmy-winning show 'Inside the NFL' on The CW Network throughout the campaign, it was announced Thursday.
Alongside host and Super Bowl-winning safety Ryan Clark, Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Johnson and two-time Super Bowl-winning defensive end Chris Long, he will dissect and break down the biggest talking points in the NFL on the weekly program, which begins on Friday, August 30.
'I'm thrilled to join my new team at NFL Films and to work on such a historic television franchise,' said Belichick. 'I've always appreciated "Inside the NFL's" depth of analysis, and I hope to bring the same detailed insight to The CW by talking real football with real pros – Ryan, Chris and Chad – this coming season.'
'Bill Belichick joining "Inside the NFL" is a true game-changer for this storied franchise and The CW,' said The CW Network president Dennis Miller. 'Not only is he one of the most accomplished coaches in NFL history, but his knowledge and passion for football is truly unmatched.
'Fans will now get the chance to hear his insights and better understand the nuances of the game from the master himself. We cannot wait for Bill, Ryan, Chad and Chris to deliver a championship-caliber show all season long.'
Belichick, who is currently dating 24-year-old Jordon Hudson, is widely considered the greatest head coach in NFL history after masterminding six Super Bowl wins with the Patriots.

Belichick, 72, is dominating headlines amid his romance with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson
Hudson and Belichick have caused controversy due to the age gap in their new relationship
He also helped the New York Giants win two championships during his time as a defensive coordinator.
The Patriots great has dominated headlines over the past month after it was revealed he is in a relationship with a cheerleader almost 50 years his junior.
Belichick first met Hudson on a flight to Florida back in 2021, where they bonded over the former student athlete's philosophy project
During the flight, Belichick even signed his now-girlfriend's notebook, writing: 'Jordon, Thanks for giving me a course on logic! Safe travels!'
They promised to stay in touch, with their relationship eventually turning romantic when Belichick split from longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday last September.
Now, less than a year later, the age-defying couple are understood to be living together and have been spotted out in public on frequent occasions.
