Lexi Thompson will retire from golf at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old is set to play in her 18th US Open this week - after making her debut at the tournament as a 12-year-old.
Thompson is due to speak at 2:30pm ET on Tuesday, where she is expected to announce her decision to walk away.
During her illustrious career, Thompson claimed one major victory (at the Chevron Championship) and 11 titles on the LPGA Tour.
She's also represented the United States in the Solheim Cup six times.
