Jacques Villeneuve became the first Formula One driver to get married on track after he tied the knot in Las Vegas.

The 1997 world champion got hitched to his partner Giulia after a chapel was set up at the Sin City circuit.

'Race to the Altar' was the campaign behind the wedding chapel, and Villeneuve was quick off the line to make F1 history by getting married.

Giulia was seen in a stunning white dress, while Villeneuve worth a three-piece navy suit for the special occasion.

His former Williams engineer, Jock Clear, was his best man.

Taking place before a chaotic first practice session - which lasted just eight minutes before it was cancelled - the ceremony was littered with quirks.

Handling proceedings was an Elvis impersonator, which is commonplace for quick Vegas weddings.

As well as being a world champion in his own right, Villeneuve is famous for being the son of legendary Ferrari driver Gilles.

His dad was killed in an accident during qualifying for the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix.
