Darwin Nunez has fuelled speculation over his future at Liverpool by deleting every photo of him in a Reds shirt from his Instagram page following a barrage of abuse from fans.
Nunez has been a constant source of debate during his topsy-turvy two seasons on Merseyside but he appeared to be frustrated after Sunday’s win over Tottenham, storming down the Anfield tunnel at full time.
He had put in a sub-par cameo off the bench, which prompted abuse from some corners of social media.
One supporter account, Watch LFC, posted a picture which appeared to show Nunez had ‘blocked’ them.

There is no indication that Liverpool are in a hurry to give up on Nunez after just two seasons, especially as they would struggle to recoup the mega-fee they paid when signing him from Benfica, which could rise to £85million.
But he is about to lose the duo who have put so much faith in him, in manager Jurgen Klopp and his assistant Pep Lijnders.
‘If someone does that (deletes pictures), I’d assume he wants out or is off,’ said Chris Sutton on Mail Sport’s podcast, It’s All Kicking Off. ‘It just looks like he is going to be on his way or he is deeply unhappy with the club.’
