Darwin Nunez bucked one of football's current trends by choosing not to give his shirt to a sign-waving supporter, but to a Liverpool ball boy instead - much to the delight of Reds fans.
A now common sight among football crowds is fans bringing homemade signs asking their favourite player to given them their shirt at the culmination of games.
After Liverpool's game against the Seagulls, where Nunez helped his side to a vital 2-1 win, a fan was seen in the crowd requesting the Uruguayan's shirt.
Yet, despite appearing to spot the sign that read 'Nunez can I have your jersey please', the forward opted not to pass his shirt into the crowd.
Instead, Nunez was seen giving his number 9 jersey to a lucky Liverpool ball boy, whilst appearing to look in the direction of the fan's sign.

Nunez was part of the Liverpool side that returned to the top of the Premier League with the win over Brighton on Sunday
After seeing the images on social media of Nunez's decision, some questioned if the Spanish-speaking star completely understood the request.
While others assumed that Nunez maybe felt that the ball boy - said to be a Liverpool academy player - was deserving of the memento.
'You got to love this guy' one fan wrote on X, with another seeing the funny side by stating 'Hahaha funny that tbf'.
Another post praised Nunez for his generosity by saying; 'Yes...brilliant when a lot of the ball boys are actually academy players these days. Very generous.'
There was even a cheeky dig aimed at the 24-year-olds unpredictability in front of goal and him 'missing' the sign, which read, 'Mean to give it him but missed by 2 yards'.

Nunez and Luis Diaz (left) were both praised by Jurgen Klopp for their displays in the win
Nunez started the game at Anfield that saw Liverpool return to the top of the Premier League, thanks to Mohamed Salah's second half winner.
Luis Diaz had got the Reds back into the game just before the break, after Danny Welbeck gave the visitors a shock lead inside two minutes.
It was the first time Liverpool had beaten Brighton under Roberto De Zerbi, a name who's been closely linked as a potential replacement for Jurgen Klopp.
After the game, both Nunez and Diaz were praised by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp with the German stating; 'We need all the boys. Darwin opened up so many spaces for us, Lucho [Diaz] was incredible, so they all were really good today.'
As a result of that win and Arsenal and Manchester City's goalless draw, Liverpool now lead the way in the league, two points ahead of the Gunners in second place.
