Liverpool legends Robbie Fowler and Phil Thompson paid their respects at the scene of the Southport stabbing on Tuesday as the town continues to grieve in the aftermath of the tragic knife rampage.
Three children - girls aged six, seven and nine - were killed by a knifeman who stormed into a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on Monday morning, with seven individuals remaining in critical condition.
A 17-year-old boy, from the nearby village of Banks in Lancashire, remains in custody after being arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
Merseyside Police confirmed the teenager was originally from Cardiff but was living in Banks, while it is believed he arrived in a taxi that coincided with parents picking up their children from the workshop.
Tributes have poured in for those affected by the incident, with both Liverpool and Everton posting on X, with Fowler and Thompson now choosing to visit the scene on Tuesday.

Fowler and Thomson also bowed their heads and observed a moment of silence
The pair were dressed in black suits with white shirt and ties as they joined others in laying down flowers at Tithebarn Road.
Both looked solemn as they put a wreath down at the scene where people have been gathering and laying flowers and other mementos of remembrance in the aftermath of Monday's horrific incident.

Fowler and Thomson also bowed their heads and observed a moment of silence while other members of the public watched on as two of Liverpool's most iconic faces attended the scene of the devastating attack that has ripped through the community.

The joint show of support was co-ordinated as Merseyside's biggest clubs - who share an intense rivalry - came together in the wake of the awful situation that has prompted tributes from the HRH King Charles, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Taylor Swift and other high-profile figures.
Speaking on Tuesday, ex-Everton star, Stuart, said: 'Yesterday's events are utterly heartbreaking.
'Like everybody, we are deeply shocked at such a senseless atrocity. Our hearts go out to everybody affected.'
Meanwhile, Snodin will be amongst others attending a vigil in Southport at 6pm.
