A man who presented himself to hospital with a gunshot wound in the early hours of the morning later died in hospital.
Detectives are appealing for information from the public after the man suffering what are understood to be shotgun injuries presented at hospital in Sydney's southwest in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command were called at 1.20am after the man walked into Liverpool Hospital.

The patient, believed to be a man aged in his 30s, died a short time later. He is yet to be formally identified.
