Now Lorraine Kelly has another reason to be cheerful after her daughter Rosie Smith has revealed she is due to get married.

The 29-year-old shared the details of the exciting development by posting a series of photos of her showing off her engagement ring after her boyfriend Steve White popped the question on holiday.

The couple have been sunning themselves in Malaga, Spain, ahead of the birth of their first child.

Posting photos of her wearing the new sparkler, Ms Smith wrote: ‘There are too many lovely things going on and I’m not quite sure what to do with myself.

‘Everyone always told me you’ll know when it’s about to happen but I had absolutely no idea, but I have a lifetime to get you back [Steve White].’

The images showed Ms Smith, the only daughter of the ITV daytime star and her husband Steve Smith, dressed in a white dress and sunglasses, sitting at a table in a restaurant with incredible sea views and palm trees in the background.

Mum Lorraine, 64, replied, writing: ‘So happy - it’s such lovely news and I will have a son as well as a granddaughter.’
