Luka Doncic added another milestone to his already impressive NBA career on Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz.

Not only did the 24-year-old point guard have a triple-double before halftime, but he recorded the NBA's first-ever 25-point triple-double inside two quarters.

Doncic scored 29 points along with ten rebounds and ten assists in the first half and finished the game with 40 points, ten rebounds and 11 assists as the Mavericks steamrolled the Jazz, 147-97.

Doncic achieved the incredible first half feat while efficiently shooting 62 per cent from the field and 66 per cent from the three-point line.

18 of Doncic's 29 first half points came from six makes from behind the arc.

In his fifth season in the NBA, Doncic is currently averaging 31.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 8.4 assists while shooting just under 50 per cent from the field. Doncic is second in the NBA in points per game behind reigning MVP Joel Embiid (33.1).

Wednesday's game was Doncic's second highest-scoring game this season behind a 44-point effort in a 144-126 win over the LA Clippers on November 10.

The Slovenia native's scoring and overall basketball prowess have been on full display since being hailed the Mavericks' franchise player 2018. Last December, Doncic became the first player in NBA history to record a 60-point and 20-rebound triple-double (60 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists) in a comeback win over the New York Knicks.

Doncic also became the first player to tally 250 points, 50 rebounds, and 50 assists in a five game span last season.

So far in his career, Doncic has four All-Star and four First-Team All-NBA selections as his team looks to make up for missing the playoffs this past summer.

The Mavericks are currently 11-8 and hold the sixth seed in the Western Conference.
