The Premier League game between Bournemouth and Luton was abandoned after Luton captain Tom Lockyer collapsed during the second half.

The players were taken off the pitch by referee Simon Hooper and after a lengthy delay, the Bournemouth staff doctor confirmed that Lockyer was 'alert and responsive.'

Lockyer, who collapsed in the play-off final earlier this year, dropped to the floor in an off the ball incident in the 62nd minute of the game between Bournemouth and Luton.

Luton manager Rob Edwards immediately ran onto the pitch as the players surrounded Lockyer before the paramedics stretchered him off after treating him on the pitch for over ten minutes.

Half an hour after the incident, the game was officially called off.
