Man, 42, dies in hospital after two jet skis crashed off the coast of Scotland

A man has died following a crash which involved two jet-skis on the coast of Dumfries and Galloway.

The incident was reported to police, who arrived on the scene at 5.35pm on Saturday according to Sky News.

Following the incident, a 42-year-old man was transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow via air ambulance having sustained serious injuries.

The man passed away on Sunday morning. No other individuals were injured in the collision on the Scottish coast. 

Detective Inspector Graeme Robertson said: 'My thoughts are with the man's family and everyone affected by this tragic incident.

'Our enquiries to establish what led to this collision are ongoing and at an early stage.

'I would urge anyone with information regarding what happened, or if they were present and saw anything to come forward.'
