Manchester United have appointed Ruud van Nistelrooy and Rene Hake as assistant managers to Erik ten Hag on contracts until 2026.
Former United striker Van Nistelrooy and Go Ahead Eagles manager Hake replace Mitchell van der Gaag, who has left United, and Steve McClaren who has become senior first-team coach. Former technical director Darren Fletcher becomes a first-team coach.
Ten Hag, said: 'I am delighted that Rene and Ruud have agreed to join our project, adding a wealth of experience, knowledge and new energy to the staff.
'Now is a good time to refresh the coaching team as we look to build on the achievements of the past two years and push to the next level.
'Mitchell has decided that now is the right time for him to pursue his own ambitions in a No 1 position.

Van Nistelrooy had previously been spotted in Manchester after visiting United's training ground

Dan Ashworth, United's new sporting director, said: 'Together with Erik, we are working to strengthen all areas of our men's first team operations, and refreshing the coaching staff is an important part of that.
