Manchester United and Real Madrid are among the clubs maintaining a watching brief on Dani Olmo this summer.

The 25-year-old Spain international is continuing to excel at Red Bull Leipzig and has a clause that becomes active this summer when he can leave for £52million.

Olmo starred for Spain against Brazil on Tuesday evening where he was utilised in the number ten position and scored an excellent individual goal, dribbling through Brazil's defence before finishing with a curling left-foot shot to give Spain a 2-0 lead in their 3-3 draw at the Bernabeu.

He started the season with a hat-trick for Leipzig against Bayern Munich in the German Super Cup and his performances have continued to draw in scouts from Europe's elite clubs.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham are also among the clubs who continue to keep an eye on Olmo's progress, particularly with his ability to play on either flank or off the striker.

RB Leipzig forward Dani Olmo has found himself on Man United's radar as they prepare hunt for options in attack

The Spain international's contract with the Bundesliga side features a £52m release clause

Sir Jim Racliffe will be keen to bolster United's squad across the park in the summer window

Olmo signed a new contract last June which runs until 2027 but the clause means a number of suitors are now assessing whether he could fit into their plans for the summer.

United are assessing targets across Europe as they look to improve attacking and creative options and Olmo will inevitably be a player of interest depending on their budget and who leaves in the summer.

Real are expected to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer and will welcome the arrival of Brazilian in Kendrick in July. They may also have to bring forward a bid for Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies which would eat into finances but president Florentino Perez remains open to adding Spain's best players to his glittering squad if it became financially viable.

United are in the market for a centre forward, centre-back and full-back this summer plus a central midfielder. Much will hinge on who departs also.
