Manchester United fans have called for Casemiro to be sold for his role in Crystal Palace's opening goal.

Michael Olise opened the scoring against Erik ten Hag's men after a superb solo run before finishing past Andre Onana.

The Crystal Palace winger had picked up the ball midway through United's half and skipped past Casemiro, who fell to the ground after lunging in.

Olise, with time and space, continued to drive with the ball into the box and found the bottom corner.

And United fans have been left fuming on social media, with some calling on Casemiro to be sold after his disappointing season continued.

One fan wrote on X: 'Casemiro needs to be sold', while another said, 'Olise just ended Casemiro’s career'

A third fan, after seeing Casemiro's slip, added: 'Olise Sent Casemiro back to the favelas'.

Former Sheffield United striker Jan Age Fjortoft meanwhile slammed Casemiro as he compared the Brazilian to a youth player.

Fjortoft wrote on X: 'Casemiro jumping in like a youth player. Mainoo and Eriksen not able to get close and tackle. And defenders backing like an amateur team.

'Respect to the elegant Olise, but Manchester United defense- work terrible'.

Crystal Palace doubled their lead five minutes before the break thanks to a thumping striker by Jean-Philippe Mateta before Tyrick Mitchell made it three.

The evening went from bad to worse for Casemiro when he was pickpocketed by Daniel Munoz. The Colombian then played a pass to Olise, who slammed the ball home to put Palace four goals up on the night.
