Man United's CEO Richard Arnold will LEAVE the club next month

Manchester United chief executive Richard Arnold is reportedly set to leave the club by the end of the year.

According to Sky, an announcement will be made on Arnold's future later on Wednesday.

His departure comes as Manchester United prepare to confirm Sir Jim Ratcliffe's Ineos Sport buying a 25 per cent stake in the club.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe will urge Erik ten Hag to end his dispute with Jadon Sancho upon completing his purchase of a 25 per cent stake of Manchester United, according to reports.

The petrochemicals billionaire is on the cusp of finalising a deal to buy a share of the club, which will see him take over football operations from the Glazer ownership to the tune of £1.3billion.

Mail Sport reported on Sunday that those with knowledge of the situation say that it is likely that the agreement could be announced next week, almost a year after the Glazers announced the club was for sale.

Underneath the message, displayed on a corner of the Stretford End, trolleys filled with rubbish stand on a car park next to a giant red skip. Up on the infamously leaky roof, white paint has withered from the cantilevers to expose metal and rust beneath.

Everywhere you look, there is decay. A light fitting with exposed wiring hangs from a wall. On the bridge over the railway line down Sir Matt Busby Way, there is a blue plaque dedicated to James Gibson, the local businessman credited with saving United from extinction in a time of global economic crisis 92 years ago.
