Manchester United have agreed a deal with Villarreal for the sale of academy graduate Willy Kambwala.
The 19-year-old defender made 10 appearances for the first team last season, including eight in the Premier League and two in the Old Trafford club's successful FA Cup campaign.
Kambwala joined United from French club Sochaux in 2020 and was handed his senior debut by Erik ten Hag in a 2-0 loss by West Ham last December amid a defensive injury crisis.
However, according to reports, United are ready to offload the youngster to the LaLiga club for a fee that could rise to £9.7million. The BBC report that the Red Devils will receive an initial payment of £4.6m with the rest in add-ons.
They also claim that United have included a buy-back option in the deal and have also negotiated a large sell-on fee.

Kambwala, who is a France youth international, has only one year remaining on his current deal and had rejected the club's most recent offer.
His last appearance for the club came as a substitute in the 1-0 home defeat by title-chasing Arsenal at Old Trafford in May.
United have made a number of changes to the playing staff ahead of their first full season under the new footballing structure led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos.
The club have kept faith with Ten Hag and opted to extend his contract by a year, in a deal that will keep him in the dug out until 2026.
United are closing in on deals for Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee and Bayern Munich defender Matthijs De Ligt now the Netherlands are out of Euro 2024.
But despite the imminent arrival of Zirkzee, United still hold interest in the Brentford and England star Toney according to Bild.
The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from west London with interest from a number of top flight clubs.
Toney has a year remaining on his current deal with the Bees and talks over a new contract have not taken place.

Amid the raft of changes, Jonny Evans has signed a new one-year contract to stay at Old Trafford until June 2025, Manchester United have announced.
Evans, 36, returned to his boyhood club last summer as a free agent after spending eight years with West Brom and Leicester.
The Northern Ireland centre-back ended up making 30 appearances in all competitions due to injuries to Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire.
