Manchester United staff were angered and frustrated by YouTuber IShowSpeed's appearance at a post FA Cup final bash after the victory over Manchester City.

Speed, real name Darren Jason Watkins Jr, was a guest of Alejandro Garnacho at the after-party at the Marriott Hotel in Mayfair but Mail Sport can reveal his attendance did not sit well with large parts of the club's non-playing staff.

In the latest example of growing unrest among United's employees, sources said staff were aggrieved at the presence of the 19-year-old who was seen partying with United's players while they were unable to celebrate the triumph at Wembley as they were not invited.

United had previously held an after-party for staff following cup finals but this was among the benefits axed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS group as part of their cost-cutting drive.

It is not clear how Speed got a ticket for the final. Seats in United's end at Wembley were balloted and sold exclusively to season ticket holders who had purchased at least five cup games last season.

Man United held a party after beating Man City to win the FA Cup, but staff were not allowed to attend

Speed does not have a season ticket and it is understood he has previously secured tickets for games at Old Trafford through partners and sponsors.

The American YouTuber and rapper, who has more than 20 million followers on social media, was involved in a heated argument with another United fan inside Wembley and was later abused by City supporters after leaving the stadium.

Many United employees were already unhappy at the club axing their traditional perks for the cup final, which had included a free ticket, travel and meals as well as a post-match party.

For the clash with City, staff were offered just one ticket each and were told to pay £20 for a coach to the stadium, with no free food.

The mood among employees darkened further on Tuesday when staff received an email inviting them to take redundancy, which followed Ratcliffe telling all staff to return to the office by June 1 or 'seek alternative employment'.

It’s anticipated that up to a fifth of the 1,100 workforce could go as United look to save money.

Mail Sport has contacted Speed's agency for comment.
