Manchester United winger Antony has expressed his joy after he and his girlfriend Rosilene Silva welcomed their second child.

The winger shared a heartwarming Instagram post of his hand holding his new daughter's hand as well as a video of his five-year-old son Lorenzo meeting his sister Lavinne.

The Brazilian wrote: 'and after almost five years I could feel the same feeling... in the same way, in the same proportion!

'Thank you God for allowing me to feel this for the second time! This is the most real experience of his presence.

'Welcome my daughter. Thank you for bringing me that feeling again! You and your brother are the best part of me and all the best I have!

'Your discovery - and today your arrival - has once again given my life a new meaning, my princess! Dad promises to be here being your protector and guardian, forever!

'Welcome Lavinne, daddy loves you and can't describe the joy of having you here.'

Silva and Antony struck up a relationship in Brazil when the pair were teenagers.

The pair have been through difficult times with Antony accused of assaulting his former partner Gabriela Cavallin.

Cavallin claimed that the Man United forward attacked her while she was pregnant, damaged her breast implant, left her with cuts and threatened to throw her out of a speeding car.

United permitted him a period of absence from the club on September 10 to allow him to address the claims - having also been dropped from the Brazil squad during international duty.

When he returned to the UK on September 28, he voluntarily attended an interview with Greater Manchester Police (GMP) - before the club announced he was set to return to first team training.
