Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has revealed he is close to making a sensational return to football - as a club owner.
The 36-year-old, who had to retire from football nearly three years ago because of a heart condition, is keeping the club's identity a secret but says it is not in his native Argentina.
He revealed his plans in a chat with Argentinian streamer Coscu, real name Martin Perez Disalvo, saying when asked if he wanted to return to football as a manager: 'The truth is that I'm thinking of getting involved in a football club as an owner.
'I'm not going to say which club it is, but I think we're on the right path.
'I like to be able to manage, to help the club to progress, to build a good team, a good staff.

'I prefer to see a club grow in a proper way, to be honest.'
Aguero already has an eSports team, KRU Esports, which his close friend Lionel Messi joined as a co-owner in November last year.
The fact he spends most of his time in Miami where Messi plays is bound to spark speculation he has his eyes on an MLS team.
Earlier this month the former Premier League star showed a flash of his past glory by scoring a goal at The Soccer Tournament - a 7-on-7 competition in Cary, North Carolina - in a Man City kit.
