A team of Manchester United legends took on a team of former players from across the world last week and fans were surprised by the change in appearance of one player in particular.

Antonio Valencia took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with Juan Sebastian Veron after the game.

And the former United winger looked almost unrecognisable from his time at Old Trafford.

Valencia signed for the Red Devils and went on to score 25 goals in 339 appearances over 10 seasons.

During that time he won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and a Europa League

The 38-year-old retired in 2021 but was back in a United shirt for the legends game in Dubai.

The match was part of the Legends Football League, an all-new tournament which featured some of the greats of the game.

He was joined by the likes of Dimitar Berbatov, Mikael Silvestre, Ryan Giggs and Wes Brown as they took on a team that included Rivaldo and Clarence Seedorf.

Alongside his picture with Veron, he wrote: 'I met this great player.' Veron replied: 'crack Antonio, good to see you well.'

The Ecuadorian won a number of trophies during his 10-year spell at Old Trafford
