Actor Mark Wahlberg was brought onto ESPN2's ManningCast on Monday to feature alongside Peyton and Eli Manning for the alternative broadcast of the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
It seemed like an easy task as it was a rematch of last year's Super Bowl and a game between the two best teams in the NFL.
But Wahlberg, a fan of the New England Patriots from his native Boston, delivered very little energy into his appearance, looking thoroughly miserable.
The low-energy segment that likely led to viewers changing the channel and NFL fans couldn't help but take to social media to slate the A-Lister.
'Should someone check on Mark Wahlberg? Is he okay?' one fan said on X.
Mark Wahlberg looked like he wanted to be anywhere else than on ESPN2's ManningCast
'I dare anyone to give less energy to an appearance than Mark Wahlberg is giving on tonight’s ManningCast,' another user on X posted.
'Why does mark wahlberg look like someone just stole his dog,' a user asked on X.
'Is Mark Wahlberg being forced at gun point to be on Peyton and Eli tonight?' another social-media user said. 'He looks very upset to be there.'
The Eagles ended up defeating the Chiefs 21-17 in a game that came down to the final few plays.
Too bad Wahlberg didn't seem to care about anything that happened Monday night on ESPN's airwaves.
The win represented the first time that Jason has beaten his brother Travis in their NFL careers with the Chiefs pipping the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII in Arizona in February.
Both sides played out a physical, scrappy game which saw the Eagles take their first lead in the fourth quarter.

Philly trailed 17-7 at halftime, but a pair of Jalen Hurts rushing touchdowns helped them ultimately get to a 9-1 record as the hosts were shut out in the second half.
The second of Hurts' scores - which gave the Eagles the 21-17 lead with just 6:20 remaining - came after a 44-yard completion to DeVonta Smith which set the team up at the one-yard-line.
Despite scoring a second-quarter touchdown, it was a relatively quiet night for Travis, whose girlfriend Taylor Swift was not in attendance as she tours South America.
He finished the game with seven catches for 44 yards, and also fumbled the ball away in the red zone in the fourth quarter, when Kansas City was trying to extend a 17-14 lead.
