An expectant grandfather is dead after he became embroiled in an altercation that turned physical with his neighbors in a rural part of Maryland in June.
According to the Montgomery County Police, Marvin Guevara Guevara, 40, got into a spat with a female neighbor over the victim's dogs running loose on her property. The argument escalated with the woman hitting Guevara Guevara in the head.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on June 30. The incident occurred in Germantown, around 50 miles west of Baltimore.
The dogs are thought to have escaped through a hole in a fence, making their way on to the neighbor's land.
A witness to the fatal incident, Guevara Guevara's daughter-in-law, Flor Flores, told the station that she saw the victim being attacked from behind.
Flores told NBC Washington that they were going to the neighbor's land to apologize alongside Guevara Guevara's daughter, 10.

The victim's family said that he went over to his neighbor's home to apologize about the dogs constantly going on their property
'[The neighbor] went then and like slapped him on the side of his face and she wanted to hit him again. But this is when I grabbed my phone and I recorded. He did not deserve that,' she said.
Footage of the aftermath of Guevara Guevara being hit has been released, showing a group of adults arguing. That video was recorded by Flores. The clip begins after the fists started flying.
The husband of the woman involved in the brawl told a FoxDC reporter that the victim had been trespassing for over a year.
Guevara Guevara's wife, Sandra Beltran, told DC NewsNow that her husband did not raise his arms to the victim and that he was using them to cover his own head.
Beltran went on to accuse the neighbors of hurling insults at Guevara Guevara when he came to apologize about the dogs. 'He's no longer here,' she told the channel, through tears.
She said that the incident began when her daughter-in-law frantically called Guevara Guevara to come home on the fateful because their neighbors had come to their home complaining about the dogs.
On June 25, Guevara Guevara emerged from his coma and was discharged from a hospital and sent home to continue his recovery. A day later, he became extremely ill once more and was brought back to the hospital where he later died.
'I really thought my dad was going to make it. He's a really strong man. Was a really strong man. My dad got hurt really bad,' Guevara Guevara's son, Marvin Junior, told FoxDC.
Marvin said that he rushed home when he heard his dad was involved in a fight. He said Guevara Guevara was 'dizzy and struggling' after being hit multiple times.
'He was a wonderful person; always smiled. He was always there for others - always had a good heart,' Marvin Guevara Jr. said.
'This is just something that didn't have to happen over some dogs. We just want peace from everything. We just want things to get done right,' Flores added speaking to the NBC affiliate.
A GoFundMe page has been launched in order to help Guevara Guevara's family. On that page, he is described as an avid church-goer and native of El Salvador.
In August, his first grandchild was due to be born.
'I was like: "You're going to teach her how to walk,"' Flores said. 'And he said, "I'm going to teach her how to ride a horse,"' she added.
'My daughter draw photos of my husband. She tells him, "Daddy, I'm always going to love you." Our children were everything to him,' Beltran said.
