Eleven people have been injured, including two seriously, in a collision between a bus and truck on a busy Queensland motorway.
Emergency services were called to the M1 near the Beenleigh exit ramp between Brisbane and the Gold Coast shortly before 10am Wednesday.
It is understood the bus had a full load of passengers, with ambulance officers assessing 60 people of which 55 were confirmed to be students aged between 14 and 15 from a school at nearby Calamvale.
Eleven people, including 10 children, were treated by paramedics and transferred to hospital; two with serious injuries.
Traffic is heavily affected with two of the four lanes closed as cleanup crews attended to a fluid leak from the bus.

The truck driver was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
One of the bus passengers, a teenager, was transported to Queensland Children's Hospital with serious head and leg injuries and is understood to be in a stable condition.
Six other passengers were transported to Logan Hospital with minor injuries.
Police have commenced an investigation into what caused the crash with the forensic crash unit assessing the scene.
