Dana White has announced Ian Garry's next fight will be part of UFC 299 in Miami next year, whilst Michael 'Venom' Page is confirmed as a new recruit.

Following the end of UFC 296 in Las Vegas, headlined by Leon Edwards defending his welterweight title against Colby Covington, attention turned to future events.

Irish fighter Garry was ruled out of his fight against Vicente Luque at UFC 296 with pneumonia, but he has been named as one of four fights in Miami, where he will take on Geoff Neal in a welterweight bout.

In another welterweight fight, MVP, who became a free agent after leaving Bellator, is lined up for a UFC outing versus Kevin Holland in March 2024.

UFC 299 at Kaseya Center in Miami will be headlined by a Bantamweight Championship bout between current champion Sean O'Malley and Marlon Vera.

The pair previously met at UFC 252, which Vera won by first round TKO.

Other bouts announced by White include a bantamweight meeting between Petr Yan and Song Yadong, and a third welterweight clash between Gilbert Burns and Jack Della Maddalena.

White previously appeared to accidentally confirm Page as a new recruit to the UFC, after eagle-eyed fans spotted a major clue in the background of a podcast appearance.

But the clash with Holland is not at UFC 297, as initially rumoured, and viewers will have to wait a little longer for MVP's arrival.

Page made his name with rival organisation Bellator for a decade between 2013 and 2023, while Holland will look to move on from his defeat to Jack Della Maddalena.

For Garry, he was ruled out of UFC 296 with pneumonia, although former UFC fighter Darren Till took umbrage with the video showing the Irish fighter struggling to talk.

The 13-0 Welterweight missed Wednesday's media obligations before confirming the cancellation of his fight against Luque.
