Mike Tyson brawled topless with Shannon 'The Cannon' Briggs after a street reunion in Brooklyn - as the pair were surrounded by fans.

Tyson was revisiting old sites from his history ahead of the summer's highly anticipated Netflix fight against YouTuber Jake Paul.

Iron Mike moved to Brownsville, Brooklyn, as a ten-year-old, and continued to live there much through his childhood, finding himself scared to leave the house because of the neighbourhood's reputation and his own family's struggles with poverty.

The 57-year-old, who turned his life around to become the youngest heavyweight champion of the world at the age of 20, returned to the Brownsville area on Friday for a tour with a crowd of locals.

Briggs was born in Brooklyn and also raised in Brownsville, so he joined in with the trip down memory lane - and the pair could not resist the opportunity to have a laugh and a scrap in their old area.

Former WBO heavyweight title holder 'The Cannon' Briggs also grew up in Brownsville

Tensions with Briggs, 52, jokingly reached a fever pitch, causing Tyson to rip off his shirt and hold up his fists.

The Cannon, who held the WBO heavyweight title from 2006 to 2007, and hung up his pro gloves in 2016, followed suit, and the pair exchanged a brief slap boxing match without any serious shots.

Briggs went to lift Tyson's leg and drop him to the pavement, before the pair burst out laughing and called an amicable truce.

Tyson shared a clip of the incident on his Instagram, with the caption 'Brownsville's finest always ready for a brawl. Love this guy.'

Jake Paul, Tyson's opponent in July, replied 'Nice Chests', whilst Ryan Garcia, one of the world's best lightweights, wrote: 'Let me join next.'

Tyson and Paul will face each other this summer in an exhibition aired live on Netflix on July 20

An alternative angle of the scuffle was posted by Briggs and accompanied with the caption: '@miketyson and @cannon_briggs in Brownsville having a straightener in front of #AtlanticTowers !!!! @smoothedahustler the referee!!!! It's on!!!!'

Boxing fans are convinced that Tyson will beat Paul in their Netflix clash later in the year, as viral training footage has revealed clear differences between their gym preparations.

Tyson and Paul left fans stunned with an announcement that they would fight in Dallas on July 20 in an exhibition streamed live on Netflix, despite the 30-year age gap between the 27-year-old influencer and the former pro.

Tyson's last official bout was in 2005, whilst YouTube influencer Paul has been a pro boxer since 2020.
