Moment furious driver's brand new car is bashed amid Just Stop Oil stunt - as passerby tries to get eco-mob off the road

This is the moment that a furious driver's brand new electric car was bashed during the latest Just Stop Oil stunt after a passerby tried to clear the eco-mob off the road.

The disruptive group, which aims to pressure the Government into abandoning fossil fuels once and for all, have boasted today of marching for 45 minutes without police showing up.

As protesters took to the streets of west London, a furious passerby ripped the group's trademark orange banners out of their hands, threw them to the floor and shouted: 'People are trying to get to f*****g work. Get out the way.'

Amid the chaos in Holland Park, a man who appeared to be filming the march hit one of the motorist's car, sparking further fury.

The passerby shouted: 'Don't f*****g hit his car'. But the man replied: 'I'll f*****g do what I want c***.'

The driver then got out of his vehicle and screamed: 'It's a f*****g brand new electric car.' 

As the expletive-filled row continued, the suspected photographer shouted: 'I'm not even part of the protest, I'm doing my f*****g job.' 

Footage has also emerged of several protesters lying on the floor with officers tending to them, while a police helicopter was seen hovering above the action. 

Just Stop Oil said 17 protesters started their protest at Holland Park roundabout near Shepherds Bush at around 11.15am and started marching towards Kensington.

They said that 'around 50 officers' arrived with a police helicopter at around 11:45. The group said that 'all are expected to be arrested however events are still unfolding'.

Grace Nicholls, 20, an environmental science student from Manchester, said she was marching in London today because she sees 'no other alternative'.

She said: 'I'm marching today and potentially risking a criminal record because I want to be able to use my degree in the future and if we don't stop new oil and gas now, there'll be nothing left to save. 

'We are in a crisis and I can see no other alternative. I have to do everything in my power to protect my home and the people I love.'

Fellow marcher Poppy Bliaa, 19, a student from Bury St Edmunds, added: 'I am taking action with Just Stop Oil because I have been left with no other choice. 

'New oil and gas is a death sentence for billions and a betrayal of the young. My generation, and all the generations after mine, are having our futures destroyed by the criminals in government who value profit over human lives.

'I'm 19 years old, it shouldn't be up to me and all the others here alongside me to do this, but we are desperate. We have been utterly failed and I cannot stand by and watch as everything we love is threatened. It's time to pick a side, profit or life.'

It comes after another 66 Just Stop Oil supporters were arrested on Cromwell Road yesterday, bringing the total number of arrests since October 30 to 532. Some 25 activists are being held for court. 

Yesterday, Noah Crane, 18, was remanded to Wandsworth Prison for marching. He said: 'We young people have been so conditioned into pursuing fancy degrees and careers above all else that we've forgotten to ensure those things mean anything. 

'When I think about the situation we are in, I realise we are faced with a choice. Either we can sit back and watch the government commit mass genocide, or we can do everything in our power to prevent it.'
