Moment huge street brawl explodes between groups of men, spilling out into the road

This is the moment a huge street brawl erupts between a group of men as Met police officers fight to contain the violence. 

The shocking footage begins by showing several men throwing punches at each other which then spills onto the road and into oncoming traffic.

The fight reportedly took place on a busy high street filled with people in Streatham, London.

What appears to be an unmarked police care then arrives at the scene to help quieten down the unrest, which forces the crowd to disperse.

Two people who are continuing to fight still have a hold of each other in the road as a woman can be heard screaming throughout.

The video, which is more than a minute in length, garnered numerous reactions on social media.

Commenting on the video, one person wrote on X: 'This is weird. London is a mess!'

Another added: 'Not enough police, outnumbered, literally the hoodies are running things in London.'

A third also wrote: 'I was born in Streatham. It was a great place to live. Well what can one say.'

The Met Police have been approached for comment.
