Monaco have joined the list of clubs following Stoke City teenager Sol Sidibe.

The 17-year-old, son of former Stoke forward Mamady, made eight appearances last season and is expected to establish himself in the first team from August but Monaco are not alone with AC Milan and Chelsea also checking on his progress.

The Paris-born teenager has emerged from Stoke's academy, having joined aged eight.

He was handed a professional debut aged 16 when Stoke played Rotherham United in the Championship back in August.

Sidibe has represented England at both under-17 and under-18 level, making his debut at the older age group last week in a 4-2 friendly win over Northern Ireland at St George's Park.

Stoke City's Sol Sidibe is attracting interest from Monaco, Chelsea and AC Milan

The 17-year-old made eight first-team appearances for Stoke in the Championship last season

Potters boss Steven Schumacher wants Sidibe to be part of his plans for next season.

'I would have liked to have played Sol a bit earlier in the season but the way results panned out it's not fair to throw a 17-year-old lad into your team when you're fighting for your lives,' Schumacher said at the end of the season.

Stoke are also braced for offers for 23-year old defensive midfielder Wouter Burger.
