NBA star Kevin Durant provided a rare glimpse into his personal life and talked about relationships ahead of Team USA's training camp for the Olympics

In a recently released episode of Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast, the Phoenix Suns forward opened up on seeing 'baddies' at games and his experience with heartbreaks.

Often stoic off the court, Durant's comments came when co-host Mike Majlak asked why he's single.

'Because I don't want a girlfriend,' Durant said during the interview. 'I have my moments and times.'

Internet star iShowSpeed - whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr. - sat next to Durant during the episode and chimed in on the conversation.

'I feel like you got your heart broken one time and that just really f***** you up,' Speed said to Durant.

'I wouldn't say I've had my heart broken. I would say I started to understand women as I got older,' the two-time NBA champion responded. 'Early on, I understood she's not mine. Even if she may be my girlfriend, she might be influenced by other people

'I don't trip on that relationship. If we having a good time for a moment then cool and if you end up venturing off and I do too, it is what it is.'

After Watkins doubled-down on his speculation about Durant's past, the former NBA Finals MVP emphasized his stance on relationships.

iShowSpeed insisted that Durant had his heart broken and has remained single since

The Phoenix Suns star responded by saying he 'does not want a girlfriend' when probed

'Every time I explain my stance to people, they say s*** like this: 'Man, bro, you've just been hurt,'' Durant said. 'Bro, I enjoy spending time with — it's just maybe not as long as you like to spend with people. A couple days for me is cool.'

Furthermore, Durant denied that he posted a list of reasons for being single on his Instagram story in March.

'You think I really wrote that down?' Durant said when asked about the rumor. 'That was a fake account. I am way too playa to write some s*** down like that. Hell no.'

Durant's last public relationship was his engagement to former Minnesota Lynx star Monica Wright in 2023. The pair reportedly met at a high school All-Star game in 2006. However, they called their relationship off shortly after.

'Yeah, in my last relationship [with NBA All-Star Kevin Durant], I had to make a decision about compromising myself as a woman,' Wright told Essence in 2014.

'I had to make a decision to leave a relationship, which a lot of people thought I was crazy to leave. There was a lot of criticism over it. But I think God had my back in it.'

In January of the following year, Durant was featured on a profile piece for GQ and said his heart was 'still not quite right after hurting someone he loved.'

'I had a fiancée, but…I really didn't know how to, like, love her, you know what I'm saying? We just went our separate ways,' Durant told the publication.

Wright went on to become an NBA executive and married former professional basketball player Michael Rogers. She became the general manager of the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA in 2023.
