Dutch fans have outbought England supporters by 25 to one for tonight’s Euro 2024 semi-final in Dortmund on the leading resale marketplace.

Requests from those backing Ronald Koeman’s side rose by 145 per cent following their quarter-final victory over Turkey and far outstrip those from followers of Gareth Southgate’s men.

Both countries have been allocated around 8,250 tickets for the match with the Netherlands taking half of the stadium’s famous ‘Yellow Wall’.

However, around 80,000 have made the relatively short trip across the border and far outnumbered England supporters on the streets of Dortmund this afternoon.

Inside the ground, which has seen its capacity lowered from the 81,000 for Dortmund games to 60,440, officials are expecting a 60 to 40 split in favour of the Netherlands.

Cris Miller, managing director at viagogo, said: ‘BVB Stadion Dortmund is likely to be a sea of orange for the England’s semi final showdown with the Netherlands tonight, with Dutch fans outbuying the English by 25:1 on the viagogo marketplace since the quarter final matches. The game is naturally in high demand with tickets sold in 88 countries.

‘Our platform registered a 145 per cent increase in ticket purchases by Dutch-based fans for the Final following their quarter final win over Turkey, the most of any nation remaining in the tournament. There has been a 46 per cent spike in English fans purchasing tickets for the Final after Sunday’s shootout win over the Swiss.’
