Yankees star Gleyber Torres would not let an earthquake disrupt his preparations for New York's home opener on Friday - even as Yankee Stadium shook during the 4.8-magnitude tremor.
The New York City metropolitan area was hit by the quake shortly before 11am Friday morning, with the US Geological Survey reporting that the epicenter was near Lebanon, New Jersey.
The tremors were felt up in the Bronx, where the Yankees are playing the Blue Jays in New York's first home game of the 2024 season.
Incredible footage, shared on social media, showed shortstop Torres warming up as the earthquake struck on Friday.
But even while the camera shook and Yankee Stadium felt the tremors, Torres continued his batting practice as if nothing had happened.

'The field was shaking,' said Yankees star Austin Wells, who was among those out practicing at the time. He told The Post: 'I definitely felt it.'
Manager Aaron Boone, who was watching batting practice from behind the cage, added: 'I thought it was actually the sound system... I just (felt) vibration on my feet.'
Across the Hudson river in Secaucus, New Jersey, meanwhile, coverage on 'MLB Central' was brought to a halt by the shock earthquake.
While panelists chatted ahead of Friday's game, the cameras began to shudder live on air.
'Are we having an earthquake? Seriously. Are we having an earthquake?' one analyst soon asked with a mix of disbelief and amusement.
'What's going on here? Control room is shaking, we're shaking,' another said.
As the analysts attempted to make sense of the unfolding situation, the network cut to a break.
Molly Qerim, the host of ESPN's 'First Take', also posted a clip showing her startled reaction to the earthquake while she was in the network's Manhattan studios.
