A former Vanderbilt football player has been arrested for allegedly biting the chest of one bouncer and the backside of another at a Nashville bar.

BJ Anderson, a cornerback who recently declared for the NFL draft, was charged with disorderly conduct and assault following the alleged incident, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Tennessean.

Security allegedly denied Anderson entry when he was found with a Gatorade bottle filled with alcohol.

After trying to enter a second time, this time without the bottle, he was denied and a scuffle ensued, according to The Tennessean.

When Anderson pushed one security guard, another restrained him quickly, only to get bitten on the 'right chest.' Anderson also bit the 'right glute area' of another security guard.

Anderson had eight tackles in three appearances in his seventh season for the Commodores

Police did observe the bite marks, according to the affidavit.

Following his birthday on Thursday, Anderson was booked into jail at 3:32am on Friday and released at 7:40am.

After six seasons with the Commodores, Anderson got cleared to play for Vanderbilt for a seventh season after an injury extended his eligibility. Anderson only appeared in three games this past season and recorded a total of eight tackles and three pass breakups.

The Commodores had a dreadful season and finished with a 2-10 record.

Over his collegiate career, Anderson played in 34 games and tallied 74 tackles.

Anderson is the second athlete from Vanderbilt to get arrested in the past month. On November 26, basketball player Lee Dort was arrested and charged with aggravated assault for allegedly strangling his ex-girlfriend in her dorm room.

Dort was released on a $10,000 bond about ten hours after his arrest.
