A fourth asylum seeker has been arrested following a controversial High Court ruling, as Anthony Albanese faces a full-blown crisis.
The Sudanese-born man, 45, was charged on Wednesday with allegedly stealing luggage at Melbourne Airport and failing to comply with a curfew.
He is the fourth asylum seeker to be charged with offences after the High Court's decision on November 8 allowed 148 dangerous non-citizens to be released from detention.
Three other freed detainees - including a paedophile and a sex offender- have been arrested and charged in separate incidents.
