NSW Blues winger Brian To'o has revealed he will down six Coke Zeros just hours before running out on the field for the Origin decider - and named the teammate he would never let date a family member.

To'o, who has scored two tries in this Origin series so far, has developed a reputation among his Panthers teammates for having the worst diet in the NRL.

But whatever he's doing is working and the easygoing 25-year-old has no plans to clean up his eating habits for Wednesday night's decider at Suncorp.

'We'll start with the morning,' said To'o, when asked about his Origin gameday diet by Channel Nine.

'Big brekky - so  avocado, about three hash browns, scrambled eggs, bacon, six Coke Zeros, a caramel latte with two sugars and extra caramel syrup.

'Lunch, I'll have a ham and cheese sandwich and an energy drink before the game.'

Just how the cult flyer stays in top shape while drinking litres of soft drink every day has left his fellow Panthers stars mystified.

'His diet is the most unique I've seen for a rugby league player,' teammate Nathan Cleary said earlier this year.

To'o's diet is legendary for all the wrong reasons, with the star admitting to drinking six cans of Coke Zero before a match

The Blues winger has been in fine form in the State of Origin series so far despite eating and drinking habits that would make a dietitian's head spin

'I've never seen somebody have four cans of Coke and 10 hash browns on gameday for breakfast.

'He manages to do it and is still a beast on the field, so props to him.'

To'o's teammate Jarome Luai once floated the theory that the winger's unusual diet is the secret to his success.

'He is a bit of a different breed and has come back from injury a few times, pretty bad ones too,' Luai said.

'It is probably what he eats. It's the worst diet in NRL history, but it is working for him. Chicken and cheese … full stop. I can't give any more away.'

To'o was also asked which Blues player he wouldn't let date his sister - a question that he answered without hesitation.

'Marto. Marto,' he confirmed with a smile, referring to his fellow Blues and Penrith star Liam Martin.

NSW coach Michael Maguire has singled out To'o before game three as one of the most important  and unsung parts of his team, saying he brings the players together.

'He's a piece of the glue in the team,' Maguire said.

'One thing about him is that everyone loves playing with him, you can see that in the way he brings the ball back.

'His defence is something that's not spoken about but he works really hard. As a winger now when you're out on the edge you're on every play because you've got people like [Queensland halfback] Daly Cherry-Evans kicking 40-20s and you've got to be aware of those sorts of movements.'
