An Ohio high school teacher is facing termination after she called out sick for two days to reportedly attend a Nashville concert.
Eileen Washburn, an English teacher at Lakota West High School in Liberty Township, near Cincinnati, has been put on unpaid leave after the Lakota Local School District found out about her time off.
During a school board meeting on Wednesday, members ruled that Washburn 'falsified sick leave' on February 8 and 9 after she told her colleagues about her plans.
They decided to leave Washburn on unpaid leave until the next meeting, where they will vote on her termination.
In a statement, the school board said the teacher has declined to answer questions about her whereabouts on those dates and refused to discuss specifics on why she needed those days off.

Interim Superintendent Elizabeth Lolli said the board will continue the teacher's current unpaid suspension until the next vote on April 22, unless 'Washburn files a written document for hearing within the time required.'
According to the high school's website, Washburn is an ESL teacher. She is also a board member for a nearby school district, Loveland City School District.
According to her profile page on the Loveland City School District's website, Washburn is married with kids, and has lived in the city of Loveland since 2005.
