Paul Skenes has been selected as the starting pitcher for the National League at the 2024 MLB All-Star Game.
It means the Pirates prospect, who has enjoyed a stunning start to his MLB career, is the first rookie to be named starting pitcher since 1995.
Skenes made history earlier this month, when become the first player ever to be drafted with the No 1 overall pick and then become an MLB All-Star in their first season.
