Pep Guardiola launched into a passionate rant about the FA Cup semi-final fixture scheduling after his side's victory over Chelsea on Saturday.
City booked themselves into the final of the competition after Bernardo Silva's late strike wrapped up the win for the Treble Winners at Wembley.
However, despite the victory, Guardiola still made it clear that he was livid over the fixture scheduling - having gone to penalties against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
Speaking on the BBC, Guardiola said: ‘It’s impossible. It’s for the health of the players. It’s not normal. Honestly, it’s not normal. Because I win I have the courage to tell you.
‘It’s not possible. It’s unacceptable. One hundred and 20 minutes. The emotion, Madrid the final, the way we lose and everything.
Pep Guardiola produced a furious rant over the fixture scheduling for the FA Cup semi-finals
The City boss it's 'not normal' and 'unacceptable' for his side to have played on the Saturday
Despite Guardiola's concerns, Bernardo Silva helped book City's place in the FA Cup final
'Honestly, I know in this country it’s special for many things. It’s for the health of the players. I don’t understand how we survived today.
The Spaniard was then questioned as to whether he has 'raised that issue' with the FA, to which he continued his furious rant.
Guardiola continued: ‘Do you think our demanding is going to change something? The only power I have is saying here. It’s not going to change anything. I know it. Why play today and not tomorrow, one day off, when Coventry, Chelsea, and United don’t play in the midweek?
'Why not have one more day for the health of the players? Tell me how you prepared this final against Chelsea in the best moment of the season and semi-final, forget the prestige of this cup. How? It’s impossible. There’s no chance.
‘I remember two or three years ago, it happened the same, we played in Dortmund on Wednesday, we travel, Saturday against Liverpool, we made a lot of changes, 3-0 at half-time. They destroyed us. And after we saved the face in the second half.
‘I changed a lot and thought a lot with the staff. This player, this player. Most of them, they were not recovered, it’s impossible.
‘It’s not just physical. The way we played in Madrid, quarter-finals, penalties, mentally it’s so tough to recover. They are legends, these guys what they have done in seven years.
'Rodri, the way he play today, Kyle after being injured for three or four weeks, played 120 minutes and now running against Jackson and Mudryk at the end.
‘I don’t understand how they survive honestly. I don’t understand. Heads off.’
