A tradie who was tragically killed after being electrocuted has been identified as a loving father-of-three and sports fanatic with a big laugh.

Emergency services rushed to Maida Vale, in Perth's outer east, Western Australia, at about 1.30pm on July 23 following reports a man had been electrocuted in a work accident.

Tree lopper Mika Tua, 29, was chopping down trees at a property on Lilian Road when his tools hit power lines.

His grief-stricken wife Shirley Tua revealed she was in disbelief and 'just screamed' when she heard that her beloved husband had died.

'Normally I always get him up, make him a tea and say, "Honey please be safe" and yesterday was the first time I didn't say that and now he's gone,' Ms Tua told 9News.

Ms Tua explained that the pair met at church nine years ago and had three children together.

Ms Tua, has been wearing her husband's clothes to keep him close.

Originally from New Zealand, Mr Tua is being remembered as a beloved dad and sports fanatic who had a big laugh.

His brother, Tua Tua, said they had planned to travel together but 'now he's gone'.

'I want him to be here to continue our plan,' Mr Tua said.

Family friend Angelene Sua-Sagapolutele started a GoFundMe page to raise money for the family, as Mr Tua was their sole source of income.

'This young family is now facing the immense tragedy of this sudden loss, carrying heavy hearts and enduring irreparable grief,' Ms Sua-Sagapolutele wrote.

'Losing a loved one is never easy, but losing someone unexpectedly creates a wound that time cannot heal.

'With Mika being the main and only source of income, his sudden death has left the family in a challenging situation. The funeral expenses, coupled with their current circumstances, are overwhelming.'

Ms Sua-Sagapolutele explained the funds will support Ms Tua in paying for funeral costs and will help assist her with everyday expenses.

'Mika Tua will be deeply missed by his wife, children, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him,' Ms Sua-Sagapolutele said.

'Thank you in advance for your support and kindness towards Shirley and her family during this tough period. God bless you.'

Investigators from WorkSafe and Building and Energy attended the scene and examined the circumstances surrounding Mr Tua's tragic death.

'The investigators examined the circumstances of incidents with a view to ensuring compliance and preventing future incidents of a similar nature,' a WorkSafe spokeswoman said.
