Four teenagers charges as adults with the murder of fellow student Jonathan Lewis have had their mugshots released by police, ahead of their next court appearance.

Lewis, 17, had agreed to a fight in an alley outside Rancho High School in Las Vegas in a row over stolen wireless headphones and a vape pen.

He was set upon by a mob on November 1, in a fight filmed and shared on social media, and was taken to hospital with severe head injuries: he died on November 7.

Eight were arrested and will all be tried as adults.

Four of them, aged 13-17, remain in juvenile court, awaiting their transfer to adult court, but the other four appeared in court on Friday and have had their pictures released.

Dontral Beaver, 16; Gianni Robinson, 17; Damien Hernandez, 17; and Treavion Randolph, 16, will all be tried together.

Tuesday's hearing will be an arraignment and a discussion of bail, said Randolph's attorney, Daniel Martinez from the Clark County Special Public Defender's Office.

'Tuesday will be an initial arraignment,' he told 8 News Now

'If the district attorney has filed charges we will be entering a not guilty plea in all likelihood they'll address bail at that time.'

Randolph's family told DailyMail.com that he does not appear in the viral video showing the attack and is a good boy 'who has never been in any trouble'.

Video of the vicious beating, which was posted to TikTok and went viral, shows a large group of boys attacking Lewis who is seen curled up on the ground attempting to shield himself.

Treavion's step-grandmother Andrea Corsey, 55, said his family have been left devastated by Lewis' death and by the 16-year-old's arrest.

Andrea, who is married to Treavion's grandfather Lovell Randolph Sr, 54, said: 'Everybody is devastated by what they say he's done.

'I can't understand it. He's never been any trouble. He comes here for birthdays and holidays. It's a very sad situation.'

Treavion Randolph, 16, is one of the eight suspects who was arrested for the beating. He appeared in court last week

The family claim Randolph, 16, is a good boy 'who has never been in any trouble'. Randolph was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail on November 16 and transferred into the adult justice system

Randolph's uncle, who asked not to be named, added: 'I've seen that video. I've watched it all. You can't see Treavion on there.

'They say they identified him from that video, but we don't know for sure. We haven't been told much. We don't know a lot about the whole thing.'

Andrea added: 'We all looked for him [in the video] because, as you see, he has an enormous amount of hair.

'So, when you don't see that, it's like, how did they specifically identify him? It's very difficult to say.'

Randolph was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail on November 16 and, along with Dontral Beaver, 16, Gianni Robinson, 17, and Damien Hernandez, 18, transferred into the adult justice system.

Apart from Hernandez, who received a citation in 2021 for smoking marijuana in public, none of the older four has any sort of criminal record.

In one photo obtained by DailyMail.com, Randolph is seen showing off a pair of new earbuds

Chilling video posted to social media showed a group of youths standing over Jonathan's body, kicking him as he lay on the pavement. 'They say they identified him from that video, but we don't know for sure. We haven't been told much. We don't know a lot about the whole thing,' Treavion's uncle said

Randolph is one of three siblings and has a brother named Lovell Randolph III, and a sister named Abigail.

His mother Oliva Lopez-Aranda filed for divorce from his father Lovell Randolph Jr, 36, in May citing irreconcilable differences.

Randolph Jr is currently in jail and has a lengthy criminal past. Records seen by DailyMail.com show he is serving a five-year sentence at Three Lakes Valley Conservation Camp in Elko, Nevada, and was sent down in May for use of a deadly weapon – a week before his wife filed for divorce.

Previous felonies include a 2020 conviction for battery, 2018 convictions for conspiracy to commit a violent crime and robbery, and two convictions in 2015 for pandering and assault with a deadly weapon.

Despite Randolph Jr's lengthy rap sheet, his son Treavion was described as a good boy and a dedicated student by his family.

Photos of the 16-year-old, obtained by DailyMail.com, show a sweet-faced teenager looking delighted on his elementary school graduation day in 2014, pulling a shirtless pose in a selfie and showing off a pair of new earbuds.

Like his co-defendants, Randolph attended Rancho High School – just a few meters from the desolate alleyway where Lewis, also a student at the school, died.

Flowers have now been left at the scene with a poignant message on one bouquet reading: 'You are a hero!!!'

'I'm sorry these humans acted so savage… Thank you for standing up for your beliefs… I would of [sic] loved to fight beside you…'

Rodney Gillies, the property manager in charge of the Sober Homiez apartment block, told DailyMail.com he had not heard the fight but previously had had issues with teenagers from the school using his garden as a cut through.

He said: 'The first thing I knew about it was when I came home and a load of patrol cars were parked over there [at the end of the alley].

'We get a lot of teens coming through here and I've had to tell them not to use it – although I did let one boy sit in the garden because he was just waiting to be picked up by his mother.'

He added: 'I heard later that a boy had been hospitalized and then died. It's a real tragedy. All these lives ruined over a pair of earbuds. It doesn't make sense.'

Lt. Jason Johansson of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said all the people involved — believed to be 10 — were students of Rancho High School.

Johansson described a viral video showing the beating as 'void of humanity'.

Lewis's father said he 'can't watch' the clip.

Johansson said that a citizen found Lewis unresponsive after the beating, which happened in an alleyway near the school, and brought him back to the school.

Lewis was then taken to UMC where doctors determined that he had suffered 'non-survivable head trauma,' Fox 5 Vegas reported.

Johansson said that the fight was over a pair of stolen wireless headphones and possibly a vape pen, which were taken from friends of the victim. All parties involved agreed to meet in the alley to fight, according to police.

'As soon as a punch is thrown, ten subjects immediately swarm him,' he said.

Johansson appealed for anyone else with video of the fight to come forward.

'There's a high likelihood that there's additional video out there that we don't have,' he said, urging parents to talk to their children about what happened and not 'put your head in the sand'.

Lewis' father, Jonathan Lewis Sr, who lives in Austin, Texas, said his son was targeted in the melee after rushing to help another student being picked on by the bullies.

He said Jonathan was initially attacked by a few students who the 17-year-old shook off 'because he was so strong.'

'But then all the other kids joined in and beat him to death after that,' he added to NewsNation.

Jonathan Lewis Sr condemned the brutal attack

Shocking footage of the attack shared to social media saw around 15 bullies attack a student, purported to be Jonathan Lewis, 17. Police have not officially verified the footage

As the violent scenes escalate, all out chaos ensues as the victim lays on the ground, beaten until he is unconscious

Footage was also shot from an additional cellphone which has since been posted to X

After Jonathan is knocked to the ground, one of his friends attempts to intervene and stop the brutal attack before making a run for it

Lewis Sr has since set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the costs of his son's untimely death, and he said the proceeds - which has topped $65,000 - will be split between Jonathan's mother's and father's families.

According to the fundraiser set up after Lewis' death, which cites the teen's girlfriend, his decision to leap into action was because the other bullied student he helped was far smaller, and had items stolen from him by the group.

The page described him as 'a kind, loving, gentle young man who has the heart of a champion and the brightest loving energy that attracts people to him with love.'

The family, writing before his death, said: 'He's an aspiring artist, devoted big brother, and a fierce protector of love ones!

'We are so grateful for all the love and community support that has poured in for our son and hope that the world will focus on all that love and compassion as a beacon of hope for human relations and place recognition upon how much stronger the love and the spirit of community is than the dark moments of violence.

'Love wins our son is a champion of love and family and the resilient spirit of human perseverance and will to be good and kind and loving!'
