Police have launched a murder probe after a 24-year-old man was killed in a suspected hit and run.
Officers from Sussex Police were called to Diplocks Way in Hailsham, seven miles north of Eastbourne, at around 11pm on Saturday November 18 after a black vehicle reportedly mowed the man down and fled the scene.
The 24-year-old was declared dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Images from the scene show a police vehicle parked across Diplocks Way, its lights illuminated, with a 'road closed' sign in front of the car.

Police say the vehicle and its driver remain at large - with enquiries ongoing to identify them following the tragedy on Saturday night.
The force has vowed to work tirelessly in its efforts to root them out until they are found, and has urged those in the area who may have seen something to get in touch.
It says it will maintain a heightened police presence in the area throughout Sunday as its investigation continues.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Harbour, investigating officer, said: 'This is a fast-moving investigation and we are working around the clock to establish exactly what happened.
'There were a number of people in the area around the time of the incident, and I am urging anyone with any information to please come forward.
'Specifically, we are keen to hear from anyone who captured anything on mobile, CCTV or dash cam.
'Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim at this difficult time.'
