A pregnant woman has been left annoyed, upset and very hungry after finding a shocking note inside a breakfast delivery from McDonald's.

A man posted online that his girlfriend 'ordered a Sausage Mcmuffin from McDonalds in Maylands, Western Australia

'She selected Option 1 as she didn't want Egg (she's pregnant). All other ingredients were clearly listed: "Sausage McMuffin: English Muffin, Beef Sausage, etc".'

But when the bag of food arrived, she got an empty wrapper and a note explaining: 'Sausage egg has egg, muffins, sausage, cheese, its no for everything, so we have just given the wrapping'.

'What a world! I got a good chuckle out of it but hell hath no fury like a pregnant woman,' he wrote on Reddit

A man posted online that his girlfriend 'ordered a Sausage Mcmuffin from McDonalds in Maylands, Western Australia. The delivered order is pictured

The boyfriend explained his partner had ordered a 'regular sausage McMuffin', not a sausage and egg McMuffin, 'with no additions or removals'.

'Which makes it even worse!' he wrote along with an image of the handwritten letter taped to the McDonald's bag and empty wrapper.

Commenters turned internet sleuths suggested theories on how the 'McNothing' mix-up happened.

'I'm guessing on the system it just listed no next to all ingredients. Either mistakenly did this when ordering or a system issue. Show the receipt,' one person said.

'I feel like we need to see a screenshot of the order to be sure she didn't tick no to everything,' another said.

'Looks like we have an up and coming comedian working at McDonalds,' added a third commenter.

In an edit, the boyfriend addressed some of the comments, saying both the order history & the physical receipt show all ingredients as being removed, so I can't prove that my girlfriend didn't do this either intentionally or accidentally.

'She also didn't check the details in the cart when she put the order through.

'However, she vehemently denies even going into the customisation menu at all and I very almost fully believe her.'

He added that 'It's very unlikely that she went into the customisation menu and removed the ingredients one by one - but I can't prove that she didn't.'

Daily Mail Australia has contacted McDonald's for comment.
