A Premier League manager has emerged as the new favourite to become the next Bayern Munich manager.
The Champions League semi-finalists have been on the hunt for a new boss since it was announced that current manager Thomas Tuchel would depart at the end of the season, but are having little luck in their search.
The German side opted to move on from Tuchel in January amid their struggles in the Bundesliga, with the club conceding the title for the first time in 12 years. Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen have taken the crown.
Julian Nagelsmann seemed set to return to the club but has put pen to paper on a deal to stay on as Germany manager.
Ralf Ragnick was then set to be appointed, but has reportedly rejected the opportunity, leaving the club scrambling for another option.

NEXT BAYERN MUNICH MANAGER ODDS
Odds via Sky Bet
Roberto De Zerbi - 2/1
Ralf Rangnick - 4/1
Zinedine Zidane - 6/1
Jurgen Klopp - 10/1
Hansi Flick - 12/1
Xabi Alonso - 12/1
Via Sky Bet, Brighton's Roberto de Zerbi is now 2/1 to take to the dugout at the Allianz Arena next year.
The Italian raised concerns over his future earlier this season, refusing to commit to the Seagulls and admitting he needed to ensure he had the same 'vision' as the club.
He has been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona, but those sides seem to have settled their futures, with Arne Slot close to being appointed Reds boss and Xavi opting to stay in Spain.
De Zerbi, 44, could opt to jump ship this summer, with the opportunity to take charge of one of Europe's top clubs potentially presenting itself.
Rangnick remains at 4/1 to tale take the reigns in what would be his first club job since taking temporary charge of Manchester United between 2021 and 2022.
According to BILD, however, Rangnick will lead Austria at Euro 2024 this summer and intends to see out his contract, which runs until 2026.
Elsewhere, another current Premier League manager is high in the odds in Jurgen Klopp, who is 10/1 - fourth favourite - to take over immediately after departing Liverpool, though he is expected to take a break from management.
Former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane ranks at 6/1, while Hansi Flick is 12/1 alongside Alonso, who has recently pledged his loyalty to Leverkusen for another year.

Aston Villa's Unai Emery is also 16/1, while Ole Gunner Solskjaer is another former Manchester United link at 28/1.
Current Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag, who is expected to be given the chance to prove his worth next season, is 33/1 alongside former Chelsea manager Graham Potter.
