The Las Vegas Raiders have released Isaac Rochell hours after saluting his brother's military service on social media, with the player calling out the NFL team for posting about him like he was still on its roster in an awkward moment online.
On Tuesday, Las Vegas cut the 28-year-old, defensive end to sign cornerback Jack Jones, who had gun charges dropped in September after his arrest at Logan Airport in Boston, earlier in the summer.
Rochell bemoaned the Raiders' decision to waive him, but he made light fun of the situation that he now suddenly finds himself in.
Just hours before learning that he was going to be a free agent, the Raiders shared a video and press release on X of Rochell praising his brother's success and impact in the Air Force, all while wearing the team's official practice gear, too.
After disclosing the news of his release on social media, Rochell let his thoughts be known to fans about how he felt regarding their tribute video to his brother, Matt.

'This is objectively really bad timing,' Rochell wrote as a caption to a repost of the video.
The player poked fun about his newly found status on TikTok, as well, explaining that November 14 is a hapless day for him.
''I wake up this morning, this pops up on my timeline,' said Rochell of the Raiders' tribute video of his brother. 'November 14 last year I got released by the Browns and I look over at my wife and I'm like, ''Oh that's crazy a year ago today I got released.'' And then I got this text. You got to be kidding me.'
Rochell remained positive about his future, however, sharing that he's 'excited about the next chapter' of his career. What's more, is that his wife is due to give birth in just a few weeks, according to the player himself.

A fourth-round pick by the Patriots out of Arizona State in 2022, Jones played 121 defensive snaps in five games (no starts) this season.
Jones reportedly missed a team curfew before the Week 9 game against the Washington Commanders and played only 10 snaps in Sunday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts at Frankfurt, Germany.
He has recorded 42 tackles, two interceptions and seven passes defensed in 18 career games (two starts).
Jones returned an interception 40 yards for a touchdown against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers October 2, 2022, at Lambeau Field.
