A New York Knicks fan appeared to get kicked out of Wells Fargo Center midway through their team's Game 6 against the Philadelphia 76ers

With playoff tensions in full swing, the Knicks traveled back to Philadelphia in search of a series win after failing to lock it up at Madison Square Garden in Game 5

And, despite the eventual 118-115 win, for some New York fans, the pressure of the occasion proved too much as some supporters were seen getting chippy at the Wells Fargo Center Thursday night with one failing to even make it past halftime.

In a clip shared to X, one Knicks fan was captured grappling with a hoard of security guards in the arena's concourse.

About seven members of security staff were seen attempting to wrestle him away from the stands as he fought back, shoving one into the wall.

The traveling supporter was wrestled out of the arena by about seven security guards

They eventually managed to escort him away, ultimately kicking him out of the arena before the second half of the game, according to the user who posted the clip.

The incident came despite the Sixers' attempts to limit the number of traveling Knicks fans attending the game.

Knicks supporters had swarmed Philly's Wells Fargo Center for Game 4 of their NBA playoff series on Sunday, with the Sixers' star center Joel Embiid admitting he was 'p****d off' at the situation after their 97-92 loss.

Thousands of visiting fans made their presence known on the day, almost outnumbering the home crowd as a result, before New York extended their lead in the series to 3-1.

However, after the Sixers pulled one back on Tuesday to make it 3-2, former 76ers partner Michael Rubin and current ownership resorted to tactics to keep the Knicks fans at bay.

Michael Rubin teamed up with the 76ers ownership to try to stop Knicks fans taking over Philly

New York supporters almost outnumbered the home crowd when the two teams met Sunday

They bought over 2,000 tickets for Thursday night's Game 6 in Philly to ensure the same doesn't happen again.

Rubin, the Fanatics CEO who previously owned a stake in the team, wrote on X: 'Josh Harris, David Blitzer, @david_adelman and I just bought more than 2,000 tix for Sixers Game 6 - we absolutely CANNOT let Knicks fans take over our arena again!!!

'Giving them to first responders, health care professionals and other local Philadelphia-based organizations once we know they’re legit Sixers fans and not imposters!!

'Let’s go Sixers - we can do this!!'
