Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says the prospect of winning a fifth Champions League at 'historical' Wembley gives him added excitement

Carlo Ancelotti says to win an astonishing fifth Champions League title at Wembley on Saturday night would be extra special.

Ancelotti’s Real Madrid team of Spanish champions face Borussia Dortmund of Germany in London tonight with the great Italian trying to guide the club to its 15th success in the competition.

Having worked in the Premier League at Chelsea and Everton, Ancelotti admits that playing at Wembley is part of the excitement this time round.

‘There are two reasons to be excited,’ said Ancelotti, who has previously guided Real and AC Milan to two Champions League triumphs each.

‘The special feeling is that it is always good to play these kind of games, the most important game of the season. And to play here, at Wembley, in a really historical stadium, will be exciting too.

‘I am happy to be here and I hope that our team can show its best.’

Saturday's game will feature a shoot-out between two big English names as Real’s Jude Bellingham faces off against Jadon Sancho, on loan at Dortmund from Manchester United.

Real are trying to win their sixth Champions League since 2014 and veteran midfielder Luca Modric, who has played in all of them, said: ‘It is something absolutely unimaginable.’
