Ali Krieger, who recently retired from professional soccer, was honored by the United States women's national team before its friendly against China on Tuesday night.

Krieger made 108 appearances for the Stars and Stripes, including being part of the squads that won the 2015 and 2019 Women's World Cups.

The defender retired from soccer last month after NY/NJ Gotham FC won the National Women's Soccer League championship.

Before the creation of the NWSL, Krieger played for Frankfurt of the Frauen-Bundesliga.

Krieger was a NWSL Best XI selection on four occasions in 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2023.

Krieger's time in the spotlight comes as newly divorced from former USWNT teammate Ashlyn Harris.

Harris made 25 appearances for the Stars and Stripes as a goalkeeper and is now reportedly dating actress Sophia Bush after the couple announced their divorce in September.

As part of the separation came Harris defending herself against cheating allegations.

Krieger seemingly added to the rumors by stating she's in her 'Beyonce lemonade era,' the album that addresses her then-and-now husband Jay-Z having an affair.

Harris was also on the 2015 and 2019 Women's World Cup-winning squads.
